TS Performance Training is a business that grew out of my belief that athletes need to both understand their bodies and have the opportunity to properly train in order to perform at their full athletic potential while minimizing the risk of injury.

Too much of todays training stems from a body building mentality or from a "work until you drop" mantra that is not beneficial to either health or performance.

Todays sports science tells us 1) that conditioning is the result of training our three energy systems and 2) that functional athletic strength is the combination of muscle strength, nervous system activation, elastic energy conservation, and proper mechanics. In conditioning, most people don't understand the physiology of energy systems. Similiarly, with functional athletic strength, todays athletes don't train all 4 aspects thus shorting their athletic potential.  For this reason, I think it is extremely important to both educate and provide the opportunity to implement, under supervision, proper training strategies to help foster injury resilient complete athletes.

Available Programs

The structure of the programs offered includes; 1 on 1, small group, team, and clinic formats.  Within each of those structures the programs can be set up to run week to week, season to season or year long. Each session of the program is set up into 4 phases: 1) sessions start with a warm-up, working on muscle temperature, joint range of motion, and body alignment. 2) After that, I move into plyometrics and coordination training while the nervous system is in a non fatigued state. 3) Next, movement mechanics (knee punch, torso position, foot strike, and hip extension) are trained.  4) Next, either strength or conditioning or a combination of both is included.  5) Lastly, cool down and stretching is included

Depending on the session, it will run for between a hour and a hour and a half. In longer programs there is more time for very specific form correction in order for proper muscle memory to develop.

Design and pricing of programs is a function of group size and length of training.
